I am the head of the Ar isotope lab and Director of Research at SUERC, University of Glasgow. My research spans many topics, including:
- High-precision geochronology
- Noble gas mass spectrometry and technology development
- Clumped isotope mass spectrometry and applications
- Terrestrial volcanism
- Quaternary climate change and human evolution
- Geomagnetism and dynamo processes
- Planetary science
